Sarah Silverman - Biography
A stand up comedian actress and writer Sarah Silverman was born on 2nd December 1970 in Bedford, New Hampshire. She was sometimes called as "Big S" or Sarah Big S Silverman. She is from a middle class family. She has three sisters and they raised in Bedford, Massachusetts. She was interested in comedy from her childhood only. She had written the phrase "I Love Steve Martin" On the ceiling of her bedroom. At the age 17 Sarah Silverman performed her first act at Stitches in Boston. She had done her graduation in Manhattan after dropping out of New York University. When she was of 22 years old she was spotted by the scouts of "Saturday Night Live". From that time Sarah's career gets blowing and she starts performing and writing for that show. In 1993 she appeared as a Not Ready for Prime Time Player and got in trouble with the NBC censors. She had done commentary on the spot Weekend Update, there she joked about her desire to have an abortion. Because of her scenes, she was in trouble and soon she was out of job. She came back again by performing the episodes of Star Trek: Voyager (1996-1977), Seinfeld (1996-1997), The Naked Truth (1997-1998) and also written a story of The Larry Sanders Show (1996-1998). Also she made her film debute in 1997's movie Whos the Caboose?. At the time of very competitive season Sarah was appeared by performing the small roles in the films such as Farrelly Brothers hit There's Something About Mary (1998), The Bachelor (1999), starring Chris Connelly and Rene Zellweger, and Warren Beattys political satire Bullworth (1998). During the 1993-94 season of Saturday Night Live Sarah Silverman earned national exposure and got a career break. She was fired after the one season of SNL because she had written only one sketch. A former writer of SNL Bob Odenkirk commented on this as he knows her form her stand-up in Los Angels. "I could see how it wouldn't work at SNL because she's got her own voice, she's very much Sarah Silverman all the time. She can play a character but she doesn't disappear into the character-she makes the character her." After that Sarah Silverman moved to the HBO sketch comedy show Mr. Show with Bob and David. She made guest appearances on the programs such as he two part time travel episode "Future's End" of Star Trek: Voyager and as a series regular on the TV show Greg the Bunny (2002). She also competed in a couple tournaments on Celebrity Poker Showdown. also she has appeared in the episodes of Entourage and Pilot Season. She also performed a voice character in the animated series Drawn Together and American Dad. In 2005 she finished her own comedy film "Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic".
