Natasha Henstridge was born on 15 August 1974 in Springdale, Newfoundland Canada. Her father Brian was a contractor/biker, while mother Helen is a housewife. Natasha has a younger brother Shane Henstridge (born in 1981). As a child Natasha was raised in Ft. McMurry, Alberta, Canada.

When Henstridge was 13, she was chosen as first runner-up in Casablanca Modeling Agency's worldwide "Look of the Year" contest. At the age of 14, Natasha moved to Paris for fulfilling her dream of becoming model. To move to Paris she was legally emancipated from her parents. Her dream was fulfilled when she was appeared on the cover of the French edition of "Cosmopolitan" at the age of 15.

In her early career, Henstridge was also appeared on the commercials of Olay, Old Spice, and Lady Stetson. Henstridge turned to acting in 1995. In 1995 Henstridge made her acting debut with a film "Species". The film was a big success at that time, where Natasha played a role of alien.

Henstridge next appeared in "Maximum Risk (1996)" opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme and "Adrenaline: Fear the Rush (1996)" with Christopher Lambert. 1998's projects of Henstridge include "StandOff" which was based on the FBI/militia stand-offs, and sequel of Species called "Species II", where she played a role of Eve who was a clone of the alien. The sequel was not as successful as the first one.

In 1997-1998 Henstridge was appeared in much less known films like "Dog Park", "Bela Donna", and "Kill You Twice". During the period also appeared in guest roles in television products like "Homeboys in Outer Space", "The Outer Limits" and "South Park".

In 2000, Henstridge landed a role of a attractive woman Mimi Prager in a romantic comedy "Bounce". The same year Henstridge landed a role in another hit film "The Whole Nine Yards", played an unhappy wife of Bruce Willis. Its sequel "The Whole Ten Yards" was released in 2004, but again the sequel doesn't work. "Second Skin" was also her 2000's project.

Natasha is famous for her Sci-Fi films, she next appeared in a another Sci-Fi thriller film "Ghosts of Mars" in 2001. Her other films include "Second Skin (2000)", "Kevin of North (2001)", "The Judith Exner Story", and "Riders (2002)".

In 2002, Henstridge appeared in NBC series "She Spies" alongside Natasha Williams and Kristen Miller. The same year Natasha given her strong performance in a standard Showtime biopic, "Power and Beauty (2002)", playing Judith Campbell Exner. While in 2005 appeared in the Lifetime telepic, "Widow on the Hill".

Currently, Henstridge appears in a recurring role of Jayne Murray in a ABC show "Commander In Chief", running from 2005. Henstridge's will next appear in "Rick Hansen: Heart of a Dragon", playing Amanda Reid. The film will release in 2007.

Nowadays, Natasha is settled in L.A.'s Hollywood Hills along with fiancé (Liam Waite) and their two children (Tristan and Asher).
