Born on 17 December 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine Milla is a model-turned-actress-turned-singer-turned-actress. Although born in Ukraine, her family moved to LA, California in 1981. Milla started her professional modeling career at the age of 11.

Spotted first by photographer Richard Avedon, modeling for Revlon's is her first deal and Italian fashion magazine "Lei" was her first cover shoot. Since then she was modeled for several products and magazine covers. Jovovich turned to acting in 1988 with romance thriller film "Two Moon Junction". Her well known films include "Return to the Blue Lagoon", "Dazed and Confused", "The Fifth Element", "Resident Evil", and Ultraviolet".

In 1994, Jovovich released her first musical album "The Divine Comedy". Which was received well. Also given vocals for "Legion of Boom" and recorded the single "Rocket Collecting" which appeared in film "Underworld". Jovovich also worked as a spokes model for "L'Oreal cosmetics". Also selected as spokes model by a Spanish clothing line "Mango" in 2006. Jovovich has opened a clothing line "Jovovich-Hawk" with a fellow model Carmen Hawk in the New York City's Greenwich Village.

Jovovich was married actor Shawn Andrews in 1992, but the relationship was ended a month later. In 1997, Jovovich married to director Luc Besson, while divorced in 1999. She was also linked with Stephen Dorff (actor), Stuart Zende, and John Frusciante. There are rumors around that she is currently dating director Paul W. S. Anderson.
