Michael Jordan's Biography

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born on 17th Febraury 1963 in Brooklyn, New York, to James and Delores Jordan. But his family decided to move to Wilminton, North Carolina. He is the fourth of five children, having two older brothers and an older and younger sister.

As a child Jordan played baseball, basketball and football. He preffred spot at the time was baseball but after spending a lot of time on the basketball court his outlook changed. Because of continuously getting beatten by his older and taller brother he decided to become a better player.

In 1978 when jorden attended Laney High School in Wilmington, north Carolina, he was cut and from the varsity team. Instead of giving up he fought and became the hreatest basketball player in the world. After seeing his well performance in his junior season he was invited to attend the Five-Star Camp in Pennesylvania, during summer before his senior year.

By the time Michael Jordan was finishing his senior year at Laneys he attained a scholarship from the University of North Carolina. Jordans popularity begans at UNC where he had made a last minute game winning shot in NCAA championship game.

In the summer of 1984, Jordan played on the Men's Olympic basketball team under head coach Bobby Knight. Two months after the Olympics, Michael Jordan played his first regular season game with the Chicago bulls. His arobic moves and hang-time won him the famous nickname air Jordan.

Michael Jordan's basketball skills and allure made him the perfect key figure to market both nike products and the NBA. Jordan led the Bull to three consecutive World Championships. After the season of 1993-94 he retired form the NBA because of his father's death.

After that he decided to try his hand at professional baseball. He played outfielder for the Birmingham Narons, affiliates of the Chicago White Sox. Jordan quickly realize that he was not suitable for baseball after disappointing season. In 1995 Michael Jordan decided to return back to basketball profession.

Jordan married to Juanita and they have three children Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine. In 2002 he suffered a knee injury that kept him on the sidelines for the rest of the season and experienced stomy wedded bliss when wife Juanita announced her desire to file for divorce.
