Michael Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is the best known athlete in the world and a leading soccer player of NBA (National Basketball Association). From his childhood he was playing basketball and football. He accepted a basketball scholarship from the University of North Carolina and as a freshman he gained the popularity by scoring the points in the 1982 NCAA championship game against the Hoyas of Georgetown.

Michael Jordan played 13 seasons for Bulls; also he won six NBA Championships for the year 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 1998. He was league Most Valuable Player five times 1988, 1991, 1992, 1996 and 1998. In 1985 he was also named Rookie of the Year and in 1988 Defensive Player of the Year.

After retiring from the profession of basketball he turned himself towards his childhood dream of becoming a professional baseball. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox of the American League and reported to spring training, and was assigned to the team's minor league system.

Apart from his sports career he also made appearances in television commercials. He was acted in the Warner Bros part-animated film Space Jam (1996).
