Kimberly Denise Jones was born on July 11 1975 at Brooklyn, New York, USA. She is popularly known as Lil Kim and has nickname Queen Bee. Lil Kim is an American hardcore rap artist for her explicit lyrics and songs.

Lil Kim has name Lil because of her height 4'11". When she was of nine years old her parents were divorced. Her relationship with custodian father was not so good so she ran away in the teenage leaving her friends and eventually she was on street. She also exposed her street life in her one of the album.

A well known rapper Christohoper Wallace famous as A.K.A. Notorious B.I.G. got attention over her rhyming. He introduced her to the New York rap group Junior M.A.F.I.A.. In that group Kim was the only female member. She released the album Get Money in 1995 and it was so super hit and getting spread over all the world.

Kim released a remix of 'Not Tonight' a very explicit track off of Hard Core, for a film soundtrack in 1997. The song and video were both hugely successful. The remix featured a sample of the Kool and the Gang song Ladies' Night and was a girl-power anthem, featuring rhymes by Angie Martinez, Da Brat, TLC's Lisa Lopes, and Missy Elliott and Lil' Kim.

Lil' Kim released her third studio album, La Bella Mafia, in 2003. The first single and video was a sizeable hit, 'The Jump Off' featured rapper Mr. Cheeks. Lil' Kim also appeared in a posthumous music video for Aaliyah, 'Miss You', in which Kim, Missy Elliott, Brandy, Tweet, DMX, Montel Williams, and several others pay tribute to the deceased R&B star.

Apart from the singing she also acted in various movies. She started taking roles from TV series and movies. She got a role in 1999's She's All That, and also has a guest appearance role on her buddy Pamela Anderson's series, V.I.P.. Lil Kim also performed in various movies such as Scary Movie, 2002's Juwanna Mann, 2003's Gang of Roses, and 2004's You Got Served and Nora's Hair Salon.
