Kate Moss - Biography

Kate Moss was born in England on January 16, 1974. Kate Moss was not so good at her schools but she always exceeded in sports. When Kate was 15 her parents got divorced. Kate also had a brother name Nik, who is in the same profession. Kate gave birth to a daughter in September 2005 from Jefferson Hack, who is the editor of Dazed and Confused. Johny Depp was a long time boyfriend of Kate.

Kate Moss was first discovered by the founder of Storm Model Agency, Sarah Doukas when she was 14 in 1988. Moss then became the anti supermodel in 1990's to the then competetors like Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, to name some of them. She first did a shoot for a British magazine The Face, which changed her face and fortune forever. She ushered a waif look, which became much controversial for people said it was encouraging the use of drugs amongst teenagers.

Kate was signed by Calvin Klein for their Jeans ad. and also posed nude for their obsession, a perfume brand. Kate was endorsed upon for various product launchs and ads. The long list include Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace and David Yuman. Kate's earned $2.6 million of her modelling in 1994. At the end of 2000 her wealth was estimated to be around $22.6 million. She also has her own book named Simply Kate which shows pictures of her. It is amongst the top earners in UK, US and other countries.

Kate Moss was honored with the Fashion Icon award in 2005. Fashion Personality of the year 1995, and Model of the year in 1996. Kate was all success in her profession and was known for the highest charging supermodel. She charged minimum $10,000 per day shoot. She completed an Calvin Klein ad within 100 days charging the above mentioned amount. By this time she was an unseparable part of the CK Be and CK One jean brands. Kate also appeared in the ads of Dee Beers, Dolce and Gabbana, etc.

Some of her TV appearance were in MTV's Fashinably Loud, BBC's French And Saunders, Chhose or Loose show. Her movies include Johny Cash's "Delia's Gone", Primal Scream's "Kowalski" and Elton John's "The Way You Look Tonight.

In 2005 a guy who was reportedly a manager of her former boyfriend Pete Doherty, sold the copies were Kate was snorting Cocaine to Daily Mirror for a lumpsome amount. Kate broke up with her boyfriend thereafter. She went a successfull rehabilitation treatment at Meadows clinic in Arizona. Kate was also reported to a psychiatric centre in 1998, for drinking before getting on the walk. The cocaine scandal lost her a $4 million year contract with Swedish fashion retialer.

A long time affair with Johny Depp, a hollywood star was left broken in 1998. When Kate was at rehabilation centre, Johny Depp gifted her a $100,000 BMW as a get well gift. They were together for 4 years. After the breakup Kate lost her mental balance and was reported at the Psychatric centre as mentioned above.

Today Kate is reported to have been trying to follow Buddhism after reading about the philosophy. Kate and Johny Depp have also brought up a new home in France.
