Eve Jihan Jeffers was born on November 10, 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She was well known with names including Eve of Destruction, Eve, E-V-E and Pit Bull in a Skirt. She is daughter of Jerry Jeffers and Julie Wilch.

At the age of 12, her parents separated so her mother and grandmother raised her. When she was 14 years old, her mother remarried and her younger brother Farrod was born. She began stripping as an escape from her mother's new marriage.

Eve Jihan Jeffers is a capable singer and her talent lies in her unique lyrical rhymes. Eve won school merit awards for her short stories, poems and plays. Eve was a part of a 5-piece singing group that covered tunes by En Vogue and Color Me Badd in her teens.

Eve Jihan Jeffers was a member of rap group EDGP (pronounced as Egypt) and was tagged the name "Gansta". She began emceeing and rapping as part of the group EDGP. Dr. Dre was impressed with Eve's rapping so he offered to work with her. In 1997, Eve received a one-year contract with Dr Dre's label Aftermath and that was the Eve's big break into the music industry.

In 1998, Eve signed with Ruff Ryders Records. She was only female signed to the Ruff Ryders label. Before starting rapping, Eve worked as a table dancer/stripper. In 1999, Eve's debut album, "Let There Be...Eve: Ruff Ryders First Lady" was released. This album sold almost 2 million copies.

In 1999, during a night video shoot, Eve Jihan Jeffers was robbed in Long Island. The robbers took a two bracelets and a necklace valued at $137,000. Eve Jihan Jeffers released another album, "Scorpion" in 2001. The album was named "Scorpion" because of her astrological sign, Scorpio. For this album she was nominated for a Grammy awards as "Best Rap Album".

In 2002 her third album, "Eve-olution" was released. This album includes guest vocals by R&B performers Alicia Keys and Truth Hurts. She is famous not only as musician but also as a actress. Some of the movies in which she worked include "XXX" (2002), "Barbershop" (2002), Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2002), The Woodsman (2004) and The Cookout (2004) etc.
