The British actor Daniel Craig was born on 2nd March 1968 in Chester; Cheshire, England is the son of a steel erector and art teacher. He grew up in Prescott; near Liverpool after that he attended Hilbre High School, West Kirby near Liverpool.

After that he joined Sixth Form at Calday Grange Grammar School and at 16 he moved to London to join the National Youth Theatre and later graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He made his first film debut with The Power of One in 1992. And later in 1996 he gained popularity in UK by playing a co-starring role in critically-acclaimed BBC2 drama serial Our Friends in the North.

Daniel Craig appeared as Master Kane in the Disney adventure "A Kid in King Arthur's Court". And in 1993 he done movie Genghis Cohn and played a role of hapless musician turned homeless person in the BBC's Our Friend in the North which is a nine part story about the lives of four friends spanning thirty years.

In 1996 he appeared in Daniel Defoe's "Moll Flanders". Then he performed in the thriller, romantic film "Obsession" in 1997 with German director Peter Sehr. There he met her future girlfriend German actress Heike Makatsch.

After Daniel Craig appeared in many UK films in lead roles "Love & Rage" (late 19th century drama), "The Trench" (the World War I drama ), "Some Voices", and "Hotel Splendide". Craig earned a British Independent Film Award for Best Actor after his release "Some Voices" (2000).
