Beyonce Knowles was born on 4 September, 1981 in Houston, Texas, USA. Beyonce Giselle Knowles was her born name. She is a daughter of Matthew Knowles (Destiny's Child's manager) and Tina Knowles (designs outfits for all Destiny's Child members). Solange Knowles is her sister who is a musician and was born on June 24, 1986.

At the age of 7, Beyonce Knowles was attending dance school. She was a soloist in her church choir. Her dance instructor was always happy on her performance and took her to various competitions. Beyonce Knowles won over 30 local dancing and singing competitions.

At the age of seven, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland (her cousin) formed the group Destiny’s Child. She and her group were discovered by Whitney Houston. Beyonce Knowles has written and produces so many songs for her group. The songs may includes "Bootylicious", "Nasty Girl", "Happy Face", "Jumpin Jumpin", "Independent Women", and "Apple Pie a la mode", etc.

Beyonce Knowles attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston and also attended Alief Elsik High School in Houston.

In 2002, her second movie "Austin Powers in Goldmember" was released. In this movie she played a role of Cleopatra. In 2002, Beyonce Knowles was ranked #7 in Stuff magazine's "102 Sexiest Women in the World". She was voted number 1 on VH1's 100 Hottest Hotties.

In 2003, Beyonce Knowles released her debut solo album, "Dangerously in Love". A single, "Crazy in Love", was one of the biggest hits of that summer and stayed at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart for eight weeks. On September 4, 2006, her album, "B'Day" will be released worldwide and on September 5, 2006 in the U.S. to celebrate Beyonce's twenty-fifth birthday.
