Avenged Sevenfold - Biography

Avenged Sevenfold is sometimes called A7X or Avenged. This band was formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, California. The Band was started by the 18 years old young men. They recorded their first album whose name is Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.

The band consists of members:

Next album of Band is Walking The Fallen also got positive rating by the Rolling Stone magazine. The next album City of Evil was released on 7th June 2005. The band was labeled metal, metal core and hard rock in many publications. But the members of band claims themselves that they are metal/hard rock and they don't have any musical similarities as metal core.

The band's name was taken from the book of Genesis in the Bible and from the story of Cain and Abel. In this story Cain is punished to live forever in exile, miserable and alone. Anyone who relieved Cain of his misery by killing him would be "avenged sevenfold," or punished in a way that is seven times worse than Cain's punishment. The title of Avenged Sevenfold's song Chapter Four was taken form the Bibles Genesis IV chapter which was the story of Cain and Abel.

Their "Blinded In Chains" song was used in the soundtrack for the video game Need For Speed: Most wanted. The other song "Bat Country" was used in the soundtrack of SSX On Tour, NHL 06 and Madden 06. Also the song "Chapter Four was used for the soundtrack of SSX On Tour, NHL 06 and Madden 06. The song "Beast and the Harlot" was in the soundtrack for Burnout Revenge.
